“Silong” means “four dragons” in Chinese. This bridge is also called “Nianyan Bridge”, means there are totally twenty holes in the bridge.

     This bridge is listed in “Shaoxing Ancient Bridge Group” and the 7th Key Cultural Relic Site under the State Protection. Silong Bridge is ancient stone bridge architecture, located in Ludong Village, Shaoxing, China. It is composed of three holes half garden linked arch bridge and twenty hole stone beam bridge. The total length is 96.4 meters, and the width is 3 meters. The three span arch bridge's net span is 5.4 meters, 6.1 meters, and 5.4 meters.

     Silong Bridge has four faucets carved on the outside of its arch bridge, so it is called Silong Bridge; two of them were damaged during the Cultural Revolution. Some of the pillars on the bridge were damaged and rebuilt; most pillars are carved with names of the people who built or modified the bridge.

     When I visited, I saw a small number of people fishing on the bridge. Two old people were enjoying the cool on the arch bridge. The surroundings of this bridge are all rivers, villages and farms. There is another bridge with the same name nearby, a modern bridge with plenty cars and people crossing by.
